hives symptoms?
Hives Symptoms on hives causes:
Question by CGH: hives symptoms?
I have recently been dealing with my first case of hives, been going on for about 6 weeks now, is overall greater but randomly I get swelling for example of my bottom lower lip, “one” finger etc…
Is this random odd swelling of specific and isolated spots really just hives?? Kinda scares me….I believe it is hives, just so odd, otherwise, I’m really healthy. Any serious input would be appreciated. I will be seeing the allergist for a follow up go to tomorow. He has already accomplished two blood test and cannot uncover anything I am allergic to. He said it will almost certainly just go away in a couple of months. The odd swelling worries me, as nicely as the uncomfortable itchiness of the hives themselves.

Sounds like it could be anxiety also. I did the exact same factor once when i moved, lasted a couple of weeks and went away. I itched like crazy, and it occurs occasionally still when i am under a lot more stress

I actually have chronic hives which is rather unfortunate because it’ll start up in the middle of the night when I’m too tired to get up and get my medicine and it’ll just keep itching until I’m too tired to scratch anymore. Sounds like you may also have chronic hives and that your skin is hypersensitive to things. I began developing this when I was in Jr. High so its nothing to be scared of. The allergist should probably just give you antihistamines to take once a day such as Allegra so that the frequency and severity of the outbreaks is lessened. I usually forget to take them everyday myself and bother to take them when I actually have a severe enough outbreak but its not unbearable to cope with this. The swelling is normal, because thats what hives do. The itchiness is also just how hives are. You’ll be fine, one tip would be to try not to scratch too much, because for me, it spreads because of the hypersensitivity of my skin. Either way, good luck, and its kinda nice to know I’m not totally alone!
Stress plays a big role when you develop hives. it can be treated consult with you Doctor. It’ nothing you should worry about. Relax and see you Dr.

Try putting ice on your hives. It should help reduce the swelling and will help with itching also. I have been getting hives for about 10 years and I am told they come from stress. When I get them real bad I have to take steriods to reduce the swelling. And an anti itch pill also. But I have found that using ice or very cold water helps. Good luck I hope you soon get over them.
Usually hives are either stress related or allergy related. Just to be sure what you have, see a doctor …. in case it is a symptom of a disease.
